Neal StephensonSystem of the World: Volume Three of the Baroque Cycle (HARPER COLLINS)Reading & Book SigningUW Kane Hall 130
The System of the World is the third volume in Stephenson's epic cycle of history, science, adventure and cryptology in the Age of Enlightenment. Stephenson has filled two gigantic volumes with more adventure, intelligence and ideas than one writer should be able to pull off, and he keeps going strong. How many writers can give you 1,742 pages and leave you breathless for more? That's our man, Neal. Tickets are free with purchase of System of the World; additional tickets are $5. Beginning September 1, tickets will be available for sale and books can be pre-ordered.

This Friday (tomorrow) night, at 6pm, I will be reading a scene from my novel in progress at Borders in SouthCenter as part of a presentation promoting this year's writing classes at the new Publishing Institute. You're all welcome to attend.
