  They now say the war may last "months". My guess is about 20 (through Nov 2004). I'm just wondering, since we now have to be prepared for "months" of war, how did England and France manage to keep up PR during the 30 Years War?

  And now for a political statement...

What annoys me the most is the automatic association that occurs if you are against the war. It IS possible to be for the troops, but against the war. It IS possible to be for the troops and disagree with Bush's policy. No one wants our troops to fail now that we are there. We pray and hope for them and wish them the best. This is not the same as saying our invasion of Iraq is justified. Saddam is a bad dictator. There are dozens of those around the world. Are we going to now attack them one by one? I am against our untimely invasion of Irag because without world support we erode unity and diplomatic relations with other countries that we are economically dependant on in today's world economy.
Undermining the UN's power demonstrates that we are bullies...not a world citizen. It always comes down to who has the biggest stick.

Now that we are there, I hope for a quick resolution with as few deaths on both sides as possible.
