  Okay, so Monday Erik posts the link to Microsoft playtesting, and I went ahead and filled out their form. Today, I got a call. Thanks to my limited experience playing DOA at Erik's, I qualify! So next Tuesday night, I will be going to a playtest. Cool, huh.

They are real cool guys and I'm trying to help them out. Since we are a large group of Vididots I thought we could spread the word.

Francis Fratelli (the one with the hair piece) has stared in many flicks including The Matrix (cyper aka traitorus bastard), And the voice of lugi in GTA 3. (he has done a few other things but I thought that would be the most noticeable)

  I am just a Gangrel and don't know what I have to add to 'Ritual Night' but I think I can free up some time on Wednesdays

  Charles is out getting the stereo installed in the new car and maybe getting the old car fixed. (Cross your fingers.) However, in the current no job status, Wednesday nights should be good for him.

  Wednesdays are good for me, just a matter of getting to wherever the meetings are.

  I just talked to Trevor and we're still digilently attempting to get the whole 'Ritual Night' thing rolling. How's Wednesday nights for people?

Tyranid Locus

  Cory and I played two games of 40k last night, my Eldar against his new Tyranid army, with Jon and Chaz providing their typical high-volume kibitzing. The first battle was a Raid, with sparse Eldar forces guarding a valuable well head and the evil Tyranid attempting to sneak up and poison our water supply (or something like that). As it turned out, the Tyranid aren't so sneaky, my sentries spotted them right away, and called for reinforcements.

The reinforcements, however, had to walk a really long way across the battlefield and, in fact, never even got near the fighting. My sparse reserves held off the Tyranid flood with relative ease (we'd heard there were Tyranid in the area, and brought our Tyranid killing guns, just in case). The Avatar, as it turns out, mows down Genestealers like they aren't even there.. and that's what he did. The Tyranid failed to reach the well head before orbiting Eldar spacecraft bombarded the area, destroying the bugs where they stood (random game length, the game ended very early).

The second battle saw the Eldar assaulting two Tyranid breeding pits, or something. Whatever they were, they were as tough as Imperial Bunkers. The Eldar brought in specialized forces intent on destroying these structures, and did so, but the losses we incurred were so heavy that the battle can only be considered a loss. For anyone curious, the Carnifex is very mean, and should be avoided at all costs.

The citizens of my Eldar Craftworld are hopeful that the Farseers will keep us clear of the Tyranid in the future, but it seems likely that our two races will come in to conflict again in the future.. after all, in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

  After reading this Story I have decided to stop eating and live in a box so I can be among the first to be disappointed by my childhood Icon George Lucas
