I'm doing some slight modifications to the main Black Spiral page. I like the new Exit 200 image I made, so I thought I'd mention it here.

The second installment in the 'Vegas Trip' saga.
I'm still getting used to my new camera, so once again most of my pictures did not come out quite right, and many were completely useless. However, a few of the pics from the show itself made it through.
The new Warhammer 40k CCG looks like it will be cool, and easier to paint. And they're looking for playtesters.
Decipher Games will be making the Lord of the Rings card game, and they want everyone to know it. AEG was really hyping their new game, Warlords, but this image really doesn't show it. The one that does came out as just a big blur :(
I have this image of the Wizards booth, and, either due to demonic possession or bad photography, I also have this image.
And just in case my posting that twice wasn't enough, try this dancing instructional...

In my first installment of 'What I did in Vegas', I bring you the game Mystick.
Not because it's the end-all be-all of games, although it's cool, but because of the beautiful artwork. The link above takes you to the game's page, check out the images from the expansion, they're bigger and some of the better art. Although, IMO, these are not the best of the card images.
The game's main site is here, it uses a Tarot deck format and the play system follows the Celtic Cross Tarot layout. It's charming.
If anyone's interested, I have two decks at my place, they're well worth looking at.

Congress Adds 'All Your Base Are Belong To Us' Amendment To Bankruptcy Bill

WASHINGTON, DC-- Seeking to increase fiscal accountability among citizens who have no chance to survive make their time, the House of Representatives added an "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" amendment Monday to H.R. 333, the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2001. "What you say!!!" shouted the bill's sponsor, Rep. George Gekas (R-PA), following the amendment's approval. "This bill will not only make debt-ridden Americans more accountable, but it has the added benefit of taking off every 'zig' for great justice." Opponents of the amendment protested that it would potentially set up U.S. the bomb.

Okay... you asked (for the tax question the other day at dinner on how to deduct the cam from your taxes):

A hobby is an activity that is deemed to not be carried out for a profit. This is determined by facts and circumstances. For example:

The manner in which the activity is engaged in
Your expertise in the activity
Time and effort
The expectation that the activity will generate income
Your past success or failure at generating income with the activity
Elements of personal pleasure or recreation associated with the activity

The other way to deduct it is under charatible activities, but the org mut be engages in some sort of public benifit at the time... so you can't deduct ICC plane tickets unless oyu dontate time at the ICC blood drive.
All your base has made it in to several newspapers, here's one from Ottawa.
Now, this is not quite as entertaining, but strange enough to bear posting. Check out the FAQ section.
Well, this is certainly odd. You'll need your speakers on for this one.
Ok kids, here it is: MonteCon! This would be our little, internal gamecon thing that I've never been to but I have to admit looks interesting.

I came out as this, do I feel sheepish or what?!?

Your distinct personality, The White Knight, might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. Don Quixote was a White Knight as was Joan of Arc, the Lone Ranger and Crusader Rabbit. As a White Knight you expect nothing in return for your good deeds. You are one of the true "Givers" of the world. You are the anonymous philanthropist who shares your wealth, your time and your life with others. To give, is its own reward and as a White Knight you seek no other. On the positive side you are merciful, sympathetic, helpful, giving and heroic. On the negative side you may be impulsively decisive, sentimental and misdirected. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.
